也许有些人一定会搞糊涂说petioner和applicant都是申请..但是到底哪一个是申请，哪一个是被申请呢。。所以我就给大家分享一下啦美国公民申请配偶，在美国内的那个人就是petioner，美国外的那个人就是applicant..如果不懂的人其实可以这样理解：不管哪一种申请。。申请本人是petioner，被申请人就是applicant。。。if its an american citizen applying for a spouse - then the american is the petitioner and the foreign spouse is the principal applicant. the same goes for any american applying for a close family members - parents, children and siblings. When it is an employer applying for a foreign employee then the american employer is the petitioner and the foreign employee is the principal applicant. ONLY american citizens (and legal residents) can be petitioners, BUT the residents are slow tracked while the american citizens are automatically fast tracked.
