我是J1身份,然后政治庇护失败,现在申请I-130表格,现在已经快收到收据了,我想问的问题是 ,1,我现在有SSN,我想问的是我现在可以考驾照吗?2,我老公是绿卡,我们申请绿卡要等多长时间 ?谢谢你的时间感谢你们的回答

J-1身份加SSN可以考驾照。有朋友几年前就是这种情况考的驾照，只是不知现在有没有变化？绿卡申请配偶目前有三年的排期。如果J-1有回国服务两年的要求，就不能提出移民申请I-485。要回国满两年后才能调整身份；或者申请J-1豁免成功后才行。

我已经申请庇护了,而且已经去面试了,已经和J-1应该完全脱离关系了吧.我现在的J-1身份已经过期,只有SSN 可以考驾照吗???

应该还需要I-130的收据。才可以证明你在美国的身份是合法的。

For I-485 application (Green Card), there is a specail question asking you whether you have been holding J-1 and whether you waiver your 2 years service in your country, however, after you filed the I-589, the situation has been changed, no need to answer this kind of question based on your asylum. Now, you tried to go the other way based on the marriage case and with the green card holder, thus, you still have far away to go--on the one hand you should keep going to go to the court, on the other hand, you must wait till the date your could file I-485 application which now will be almost 5 years, and then depends on the USCIS giving you the time for I-485 interview and the court to cancel your asylum case.
