加拿大华人论坛 美国留学移民F1学生合法性问题,急求高人解答

我由于11年暑假回国了，但是成绩不太好被拒签了一次导致没有在9月按时到学校报道，10月3号回美国由于过了选课日期I20被取消了，换了新的I20在12月3号开始生效，这时间段我能留在美国吗，还有就是我因为不想继续在这个学校念了又申请了转学，新学校已经把我录取了，不过新学校的i20是1月3号生效，这样两种情况可以吗？

Your F-1 status depends on whether the former school signed to release you on your new school's I-20 or not. If the new school before giving you the new I-20 and fax the I-20 to the former school asking them to sign the I-20 and release you, and the former school did so, then it will be easy for you to continue your F-1 status in the new school. If the former school already informed the USCIS to cancel your F-1 status, then nothing the new school could do for you--you out off status.
