Interested in helping first-generation and recent immigrants navigate American educational systems? Our client is are a premier academic and college planning institute looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and highly qualified individuals to take on an important role in the students' lives. Responsibilities: Regularly monitoring, understanding and following-up on the progress of the students' academic performance and participation in extracurricular activities. Making sure that each student completes the tasks that their college admission counselor assigned to them, and providing timely feedback to parents. Translating college counseling meetings (from English into Chinese) for the student’s parents; proactively spotting issues that the student and parents may have and suggest solutions. Following up on the status of each student’s college applications, checking for the student’s progress about completing application forms; pushing students to complete and submit applications within the assigned deadline. Advising student clubs and helping the clubs make progress toward their goals. Working with class management personnel to follow up on each student’s progress with classes taken at the center. Using group chat to communicate with students and parents, providing professional advice and accurate delivery of messages regarding the center’s service and answers to questions from students and parents. Requirements: A desire for and love of working with kids Cultural competency to facilitate intercultural conversations and relationships Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Exemplary research skills Knowledge of college admission trends and values Good time management skills Bachelor's degree Master's degree (preferred) Bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin(Preferred) Prior experience assisting students with admissions, and/or mentoring students in an academic context(Preferred) 本职位不提供H1B, 申请人必须可以在美国长期合法工作。候选人必须了解美国大学申请的流程，并能够流利的用中英文双语交流。 有意者请发您的简历至 [email protected] 谢谢！
