My background:Full time engineer at a major US aerospace companyM.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA, GPA: 3.90B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UCLAI tutor for homework help, exam preparation, and general learning for middle school through high school students. I specialize in middle school math & science, high school math, high school English, physics, chemistry, and some college courses. I can tutor both regular, honors, and AP level subjects aforementioned above.I can also tutor some college courses as well.I graduated from UCLA with a Master’s degree and I want to revisit my passion in tutoring that started in high school. I have been privately tutoring in primarily STEM fields turning struggling students to stellar students, with 6 years in cumulative experience. In my past time (pre-COVID-19), I have volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for elementary school children. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, and help them grow academically and mentally. I am caring, patient, friendly, focused, and invested in making students succeed.In my full-time job, I am an early career engineer and I serve as a regular instructor for new college graduate hires in the company, and help bridge the gap between the theory learned in college and practice done in the industry. I believe my engineering background provides a unique experience that can help students understand subjects better by developing foundational knowledge and intuition. My approach to tutoring provides real-life examples that make learning a fun and interesting experience, instead of rote memorization or pure abstraction that makes learning feel like a chore.
