Then what will happen?Those can’t afford the houses will still not able to afford.The issue is low inventory, and low wages ( you don’t get much after taxes) .Banning the foreign buyers may help, but there will still a lot of people can’t afford buying houses.

转统计专家的质疑:针对非居民拥买房比例,我两个问题,也跟统计数据有关,非居民拥有住宅比例3.4%,假如这里90%的非居民是近三年卖的。1.近三年交易的房屋占总房屋比例多少?2.近三年非居民的房屋交易比例是不是远高于3.4%?还是那句话,信数据不如信身边的专业人士。

看影响,不需要看它存在的时候影响有多大,要看它不存在的时候有多大。这些傻缺一直在找依据,用数据说话,可是炒作煽动永远是小部分人主导的。既然限制外国人炒房这么明显,那不就证明了?

I believe it's way more than just 5% especially in Vancouver. Poor Canadians have been competing with all the multi/million and billionaires around the world (predominantly TuHao from china) in owning a home. I think the combination of foreign purchasing power and speculation of local residents (many I know own rental properties, some have almost 10) that is responsible for the housing market bubble. It's also pushing up the economy (fake growth; most Canadians are suffering) and inflation. The new mortgage rules are a joke; it's suffocating hardworking Canadians as those wealthy foreigners don't need a mortgage to buy!So to make everyone's Canadian dream no longer a dream only, foreigners should be banned from home ownership (why was it even allowed in the first place? Foreigners are not allowed to own anything in China. This policy should be reciprocal) and local speculation should be minimized (1 additional property maximum).

看新闻共有5万多,近三年的交易量(三年前海外买家应该很少),40万套?近三年有10%以上的是海外买家。还有很多楼花没算上。

2000年基本加拿大已对中国开放投资和技术移民, 到前几年才开始收紧, 这10几年的时间, 不要说大富翁, 就算国内稍微有点钱的小富翁都已经成功移民并拿到加拿大本地身份啦
