无聊中,在国外BBS闲逛,发现这样一个帖子,可能是英国的筒子,deanjp32Hi all, Just got letter today stating that we will not hear from the Canadian government for 42
months. Why does it take that long now??? I know it will be worth it but 42 months is a long time. Any ideas on how to keep sane in this time?

I was initially told to expect an 18 month wait, but I got a letter saying it's gonna be Oct-Feb 0f 2007. And that's only for a review of my application. If it is Feb it would make it a 28 month wait! I just plod along living life as normal and don't even think about the application as you'll drive yourself crazy looking out for the postman/checking the online status (which always says appication in process). Also, they're saying 42 months but it could take longer...I find time goes faster if I'm not obsessing on it!! Also, what's to say you will get the immigration approval after the long wait?I'm using reverse psychology now and almost assuming I'll be refused so it'll be a great surprise when I (hopefully) get accepted!! I try to carry on as normal as it would be SO GUTTING to have a refusal. Sorry, no real practical help but time does speed along. Just gotta have patience.评论
