New Category of Canada Immigration - Canadian Experience Class quoted from CIC News. In 2008, a new stream of Canadian immigration will be available to certain temporary foreign workers and international students with Canadian degrees and Canadian work experience. First announced in the 2007 budget, the Canadian Experience Class will help address the country's labour force needs by better focusing on these candidates for Canadian Permanent Residency. Citizenship and Immigration Canada's goal for 2008 is to admit between 10,000 and 12,000 under the new Canadian Experience category of immigration.Canada's current international student talent pool has the potential to add up to 30,000 skilled immigrants every year. The thousands of Temporary Foreign Workers currently in Canada are also first-rate immigration candidates, having already settled into Canadian society and the Canadian labour force. Under this new category of immigration, individuals in these two groups can apply for Permanent Residency from within Canada. Details are expected early in the new year.In 2008, the Canadian Experience Class will add to other initiatives aimed at easing Canada's labour force shortages. The Provincial Nominee Programs, in which Canadian immigration applicants are nominated for priority processing by the province in which they plan to live, have been expanded for next year. Additionally, Foreign Credential Referral Office (FCRO) services have been increased and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program has been enhanced.联邦政府新增"加拿大经验类别"(Canadian Experience Class)移民,其主要对象为留学加拿大的海外学生和持临时工作签证已在加拿大工作的人士，该类别明年预计将吸纳1万至1.2万人. 与此同时, 传统的技术移民类别(Skilled Workers)的名额将会相应减少3万人. 新增类别是为了加速处理已在加拿大求学或工作人士的移民申请,他们不仅可以尽快补上加拿大各行业的职位空缺, 而且也能更好地适应加拿大生活. 目前移民部正与有关方面研究该类别申请人的条件以及申请办法. 届时该类别申请办法与程序公布之后，将可获得快速处理. 移民部会分配更多资源及人力处理新类别申请, 这样一来可能对申请技术移民的人颇为不利, 因为他们既缺乏加拿大经验, 又只能继续坐特慢车，可能等候的时间还要加长. 另外一方面, 对于综合评分低于67分的, 或许留学不失为一个很好的选项.
