As you are aware, as the result of recent changes to the Immigration andRefugee Protection Act, federal skilled worker applications are assessedfor eligibility according to new eligibility criteria. These criteriaaffect applicants only if they applied on or after February 27, 2008.If they applied before February 27, 2008, their application will beprocessed according to the rules that were in effect at that time, inthe order in which they were received. Applicants may, however,withdraw their old applications and submit new ones; however, they wouldhave to forfeit the processing fees paid and would be required to submitnew processing fees with the new application.
