Thank you very much for reading my studyplan. My name is Li Siming. I would never quit pursuing my business dream, eventhough my previous two applications for study visa were refused. So now Idecide to try once more. Last month Igot in touch with my father who is glad to be my sponsor and provides newmaterials such as income certificate, tax payment receipts, work certificate, financecertificate and notarial house property certificate.If I successfully get the VISA, I willstart my English Language Foundations (ELP) program and 2-year Business Administration Diploma Programat SAIT Polytechnic in January 2012. Studying English in China cannot offer me a genuineEnglish environment to improve my language skills. The ELP program focuses onenhancing students’ verbal and communication skills that is vital for myacademic studies. To make sure that I adapt to Canadian classroom learning assoon as possible, it is a must to continue my English study in Canada. Iconsider SAIT an excellent place for my business learning. Its Business Administration Diploma Programoffers a wide choice of courses to preparestudents for their business careers. I will be job ready through aseries of course learning, skills training,business simulations, case studies, term projects,and hands-on trainings. These career trainingswill undoubtedly add to my resume. Another factorthat leads me to SAIT is that this diploma program willutilize an e-learning instructional deliverymethod, which makes my learning very flexible and leaves me more time forstocks and funds investment. Introduced to stock investment early, I alreadyhave some knowledge of this field. I plan to put my knowledge in real settingduring college years when my queries can be timely resolved throughconsulting experienced professors or auditing related courses. I shouldalso mention that in addition to the EnglishLanguage Foundations program which prepares students for SAIT career programsas well as other degree programs, some free full-time language programs are also opened to students, such as the Pathway toBusiness Language Training Program for studentsinterested in career in business industry.
My mother is known to other people as anemployee of a public service institution, but very few of them know that shehas made over a million through house property trading. It can be said that mymother plays a very important role in the forming of my business dream. Grownup in such an environment, I have developed a keen interest in business at anearly age. And I want to engage myself in this field as soon as possible, so Iwant to study business administration at SAIT. Starting from college does notmean that I will fall behind those who are studying in universities. US president Obama studied at a college beforegoing to Columbia University and Harvard.This fact tells us that what really matters is how youuse the opportunities to make yourself stronger.
The course work of SAIT’s BusinessAdministration Diploma is tailored to students’ needs and a special emphasis isput on enhancing students’ skills to cope with their future jobs. Bothadvantages are lacking in current Chinese diploma education. I learned from myfather that my half-brother has built a very successful career in China aftercompleting his business studies abroad. This fact convinces me that it issensible to receive college education in Canada. Storiesof many successful enterprisers have proved that the best way to succeed is tolearn, practice, learn practice, learn, practice. So after completing thediploma program, I would come back China to seek some business experience first. Therefore,SAIT is undoubtedly a step stone to my future career as an enterpriser.
