渥太华时间12月30日，移民局官网发布了关于2020年父母团聚类移民抢名额的一则临时信息。信息虽未提及抢名额事宜的确切时间，在进一步的通知发布之前，担保人的父母或祖父母提出的永久居民签证申请将不予受理。而最新的指示将最迟在2020年4月1日前发布。
