One such incentive is the “stair-step” program. The dealer has to sell a given number of cars per month. After this quota is met the manufacturer will earn an extra dollar amount (ex. $150.00) per car sold retroactive to the first one in the 30 day period. If the dealer sells 100 cars, the incentive adds up to $15 000. Nearing the end of the month if the dealer has not met the quota, he is going to be eager to deal. So, what is the best day to buy a car? The last few days of the month when the dealer is struggling to meet its manufacturer set quotas. Buy a Car With No Credit in December December is the best month to buy a car with no credit, buy new car, or buy a used car. The dealers’ monthly and yearly quotas are wrapping up at this time. Also, come January 1, the dealers will be charged an inventory tax on all remaining stock. They really want to get rid off all stock before the New Year. Another incentive for dealers is to win the title of best selling car for the year which will provide fantastic advertising for the year to come.
