How long can I stay in Canada? Can I visit the United States and return to Canada? The duration of your stay in Canada will be decided by the immigration officer at the Port of Entry (airport or highway border crossing). If you think you will want to stay in Canada for more than six months, or if you will be visiting the United States and returning to Canada during your trip, explain the circumstances to the immigration officer when you arrive.
