Five people had to be taken to hospital after taking drugs that may have been laced with something at a weekend house party.Emergency crews were called to a home in the area of MacIntosh Street and Como Lake Avenue in Coquitlam, shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday.RCMP officers, who were called to assist firefighters and paramedics, told CTV News that they arrived to find five people unconscious. They were treated at the home and regained consciousness before being transferred to hospital.Police said it is believed the patients overdosed after using recreational drugs, but that the drugs partygoers believed they were taking shouldn't have caused them to pass out.All five experienced the same symptoms at once, and officers are investigating whether the drugs could have been laced with something stronger.Several items were seized from the home for testing, and the investigation is ongoing.
