周二，西马里布（Western Malibu）和文图拉县（Ventura County）的几个地区被列入南加州爱迪生（SCE）公共安全断电名单，为即将到来的圣塔安娜风做准备。
国家气象局（National Weather Service）预计10月10日至10月11日刮到文图拉和洛杉矶县的圣安娜风为中风至强风等级。由于此事件带来的野火风险较高，SCE正在考虑在其服务区域中易发火灾的地区关闭电源，这可能会影响至少173,300 SCE客户。
马里布市已获通知，可能会实施公共安全停电，停电将影响该市西部，开始于周四晚上9点至周五上午9点。
马里布市紧急情况信息网站说：“医疗上依赖电力服务的个人应考虑主动待在其他地区，直到情况发生变化为止。鼓励居民检查可能需要帮助的家庭成员和邻居。”
