美西时间2020年4月9日，据LA Times报道，Kaiser Permanente（凯撒医院）于今日宣布，由于对新冠病毒的扩散感到担忧，将暂时关闭整个南加州的众多医疗机构和诊所。
在凯撒医院网站上的一份声明中写道：“我们会员及员工的健康和安全始终是我们首要考虑的因素。为了防止新冠病毒在本机构内的传播，我们决定暂时关闭或限制部分地区的服务。我们之所以这么做，是为了能够协调护理并整合急需的医疗设备和人员，为我们的会员提供优质的护理。”
凯撒（Kaiser）将暂停或关闭的诊所覆盖以下地区：包括羚羊谷（Antelope Valley），唐尼（Downey），克恩县（Kern County），洛杉矶（Los Angeles），奥兰治县（Orange County），全景城（Panorama City），帕萨迪纳（Pasadena)，河滨和科切拉山谷(Riverside and Coachella Valley),圣贝纳迪诺县(San Bernadino County)，圣地亚哥(San Diego)，南湾(South Bay)和文图拉县( Ventura County)。
除此之外，凯撒所有设在Target内的诊所也将暂时关闭。
随着新冠病毒的传播，医院和公共卫生机构一直在努力控制患者的流动。
到目前为止，医院表示他们并没有被病人的数量所淹没，且认为加州目前有足够的呼吸机供病人使用.
医院表示：“虽然我们关闭了部诊所，但是我们仍然提供医疗服务。”
