For security reasons, only you may pick up the visa(s). The only exception is for principal applicants under age of 18 on the date of this letter, in which case a prent or guardian may pick up the visa for you. He/she has to present his/her own identity document and a legal document to prove his/her parental or guardian relationship to you, such as birth certificate, adoption certificate or guardianship certificate.You may collect your visa(s) at this offcie any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, with the exception of public holidays. A list of the public holidays observed by this office can be viewed on our websuite:www.hongkong.gc.ca.Admittance to the waiting area will take place between 1:15 and 2:00 pm only. You will be required to present this letter, your passport, and the passports of all accompanying family members at that time. Normally the visa(s) will be issued by 5:00 that day.Please note:visa collection may be made by the principal applicant only, or if the principal applicant is under age of 18 on the date of this letter, his/her prent or guardian; no other exceptions will be made in any circumstances. We will not respond to any correspondence requesting that an exception be made;you are not required to inform us of the date you choose to collect your visa(s);each passport must contain at least three (3) blank pages for visas and must be signed by the bearer;same day service will normally be provided. However, should unforeseen difficulties arise, we will advise you once your visa(s) is /are ready for pick-up;you must report to this office in writing any changes in your travel documents, family configuration and marrital status before collecting your visa(s). This includes all births, deaths, marriages, divorces, new custody rrangements and adoptions involving you and/or your dependents. Should you not do so, a document-replacement or other approprite fee will be required. In any case, do not attempt to pick up your visa(s) with this pick-up letter as it will be deemed invalid. When your visa(s) is/are ready again after the changes have been made, a new visa pick-up letter will be issued; once passports have been handed to the receptionist, you may not leave the waiting room as you will not have proper documents to prove your legal status in Hong Kong. Given the number of clients, please allow the whole afternoon to have the passports returned to you;no follow-up or reminder letter will be sent and no extensions to visa validity will be granted. If you fail to collect the visa(s) within 120 days and/or do not use them prior to their expiry, you will be required to submit a new application, pay new processing fees and qualify under the selection standards in force at that time in order to immigrate to Canada;your dependants, if any, are not required to accompany you to Hong Kong and, due to space restrictions, they will not be granted access to waiting room if they do, nor will they be permitted to wait outside the waiting room.
