We are currently seeking to fill the following position: Position: Database & Systems Administrator Status: Full-time, Permanent Location: Toronto Date Required: ASAP Job Reference: 2008-01DBA Primary Objectives: To provide database and systems administration support for the company in a timely manner. Job Responsibilities: Support, administer, optimize and maintain production & development of serverIdentify and resolve database performance & capacity issues.Plan, implement and support databases and software systemsWrite stored procedures, triggers, create tables and views within a Microsoft SQL environmentDesign and implement fault tolerant standardsImplement & administer security systemsDesign, implement, maintain & support company's network infrastructureConfigure network service e.g. DNS, WINS, DHCP, ISAAdminister, monitor, and maintain Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise ServerInstall, configure and maintain Wintel servers and local networkTroubleshoot technical issues Qualifications: MCDBA and MCSE designation required5+ years in Database Administrator roleUniversity or College grad in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equiv experienceAble to work in a fast paced environment independently and as part of a teamGood verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervisionAble to analyze conflicting priorities and take immediate, appropriate actionSome work outside normal business hours, occasional weekends If you are interested in applying for this position, please quote Job Reference 2008-01DBA and send a covering letter along with a resume to: [email protected].
