Celebrating over 25 years, we have granted 17,000 wishes from coast to coast, more than all other Canadian wish granting agencies combined. We have an exciting opportunity at our National Office in Pickering for a highly motivated and talented individual for the role of IT Support Specialist. In collaboration with the IT Manager this position is responsible for providing a wide range of operational helpdesk support at both the National level and across Canada to 12 Chapter Offices. In addition, you will be responsible for adhoc projects to support process efficiencies in all facets of the organization. This may involve simple to complex data entry testing, application integration, etc.If you are interested in being part of a growing organization that has a profound impact on the community, the position of IT Support Specialist may be right for you.Technical Requirements ・ Hands on experience troubleshooting hardware (printers, desktop, laptops and servers).・ Networking skills required: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and networking principles.・ MCTS, MCITP, MCDST, MCPD, Network + or A+ certifications are preferred.・ Knowledge and understanding of database programming sufficient to support internal applications (e.g., Raisers Edge, Artez e2RM, MS Dynamics CRM and MS GreatPlains)・ Hands on experience with the following:§ Windows Server / Active Directory§ MS Windows XP/Vista/7§ MS Office 2003/2007§ Citrix XenAPP, XenDesktop You have a minimum of 2 years experience supporting users in a Microsoft Windows environment, along with knowledge and understanding of computer programming methodologies. You are self-driven, can work independently with minimal direction and have the ability to take initiative, solve complex problems and make decisions within the scope of your responsibility.
