回复: 有没有在加拿大读视光学（Optometry）甚至做上验光师的同胞？试试这个， 据说有国内的眼科医生考上。 International Optometric Bridging Program (IOBP).Minimum Requirements for the Bridging ProgramsFor candidates applying to the IOBP in 2008 to 2011Candidates must: 1. be currently licensed or registered to practice optometry outside Canada 2. have successfully completed either: 1. 2 years of university undergraduate courses prior to entering an optometry school and a 4 year optometry degree*, or 2. a 4 year optometry degree* followed by 2 years of optometric work experience outside CanadaFor candidates applying to the IOBP in 2012 and beyondCandidates must: 1. be currently licensed or registered to practice optometry outside Canada 2. have successfully completed either: 1. 3 years of university undergraduate courses prior to entering an optometry school and a 4 year optometry degree*, or 2. a 4 year optometry degree* followed by 3 years of optometric work experience outside Canada*For the purpose of this application, the following is accepted as equivalent to a 4 year optometry degree: * A 3 year optometry degree followed by a pre-registration year/period and successful completion of the final assessment. This pre-registration year/period must be endorsed by the country in which you obtained your degree.

回复: 有没有在加拿大读视光学（Optometry）甚至做上验光师的同胞？我在国内作眼科医生的。虽然不是专业视光出生。想在加拿大做一名验光师，只是不知道工作和待遇情况如果。所以请有了解的人多多发言。点击展开...一般都是自己开诊所或跟别人合作开诊所，再就是受雇于眼镜店或验光诊所。 收入不错，但要看客户源了，多的15万的都有，少的5，6万的也有，平均是9万左右。

No, but I also work in the healthcare field.Optometry requires a lot of prerequisites ie. English, several courses of ethics, etc etc (ie. UW Optometry). It's even hard for locals to apply since most people don't have those courses.
