A Langley, B.C., woman has finally undergone surgery for a broken arm after spending six days in a hospital hallway awaiting the procedure. Lee Campbell, 65, went into surgery Saturday afternoon. Her son told CBC News Campbell is relieved to be finished with the ordeal and should be back home in the coming days. Campbell spent six days in a makeshift hallway room at Surrey Memorial Hospital after breaking her arm Monday morning. Campbell was put on a list for unplanned surgeries, but new unplanned surgeries pushed her further back on the list each day. In addition, Campbell was not allowed to eat for 22 hours a day - from midnight to 10 p.m. - in case doctors were able to operate. It is unsafe to consume food for several hours prior to getting general anesthetic. A spokesperson for the Fraser Health Authority said they are sympathetic and understanding, but the situation is an unfortunate byproduct of the unplanned surgery list. 如果是我的话，我都不知道怎么熬过这6天漫长的手术等待期阿，在这里生活只求身体健康，安全平安了。评论
