Alcohol-related deaths have dropped 40 per cent in the year since B.C.'s tough new drinking and driving rules took effect, Premier Christy Clark announced Wednesday. Clark said alcohol-related motor vehicle deaths dropped to 68 this past year from an average of 113 deaths on average in each of the previous five years.
