追求人权也是要付出代价滴 Toronto police have notified the public that a man they consider a “high-risk offender” has been released from prison. Hassan Steven Jarrar, 40, served his full 15-year sentence for both assault and aggravated sexual assault, and will be residing in Toronto. Jarrar was convicted in 1997 after police say a woman’s “near-lifeless body was discovered in a remote area near Lake Ontario” with serious injuries. The woman was in hospital for several months, needing extensive rehabilitation to eat, walk and talk. While incarcerated, Jarrar refused any treatment program or counselling. The Toronto police Sex Crimes Unit said the public is being notified of Jarrar’s release because of his potential to reoffend. He has a nightly curfew and is to report to Toronto police weekly and notify them of any change of address.点击展开...评论

回复: ‘High-risk offender’ released, police issue notice有一个电视节目叫“Crime Story" 的，是加拿大的一个纪录片。其中一集就有讲到一个犯人，在监狱里就一直有暴力倾向，还常说出去了要报复社会什么的，刑满后没办法还是放了，警察通知了他的居住地的城市，可是他根本没回居住地，而是在Brampton的downtown租了个小旅店的房间住着，结果就真的杀了人，然后再次被抓入狱，你说那个被杀的人有多冤哪。

回复: ‘High-risk offender’ released, police issue notice既然知道是High-risk的，为什么还要release点击展开...这个说法也不对risk再高, 人家也还没动手对不对?否则就变成未犯罪先制裁了. 这个是人权灾难.这里出问题的地方是, 之前 已经犯了重罪了, 监狱里面浪费纳税人15X7=100万...享15年福.然后干嘛那么轻松的就放出来?之前貌似是强奸杀人未遂, 才判15年?这问题太严重了....
