准备清单：•CAA membership •emergency survival kit, •jumper cables •extra windshield washer fluid•fm transmitter•Non-perishable food, like energy bars or candy bars. •Candle, waterproof matches and a small tin, a flashlight and batteries•blanket, extra footwear and winter gloves•sand, salt or kitty litter, as well as a tow rope or chain•mobile power pack•full 10 litre jerry can•Cash, as some places in Saskatchewan do not use interac or credit cards. •plan your route with reasonably short days•Find hotels in advance•Load your iPod with lots of great rock & roll, and stay well caffeinated! •Pace yourself, take plenty of breaks and if you feel tired, get off the road.•Making the maximum mileage out of the relatively small amount of daylight available, hit the road at about an hour before sunrise, stopping about an hour after sunset. •You'll have 12 hours to drive each day when you begin, but by the time you get to Calgary, you'll only have 10.5 hours of driving, because you'll be further north. •It takes 42 hours of driving (without stops) to get from Toronto to Calgary in the summer•You are going to be driving a very long distance in winter conditions, and some very long road sections will be very isolated. •Cell phone coverage in some of those areas is also very poor. If you end up in the ditch, you could be there for several hours before any help arrives, so make sure you're prepared for that. •Gas stops are not an issue as there are plentiful as long as driving in daytime, night time more small stations are closed.•Emergency call: 911

If road conditions are good, there's a possible short break in Sudbury either at the Big Nickel/Dynamic Earth, or at Science North. Both have fun outdoor activities, and cool gift shops. Day 2: Sault Ste Marie to Thunder Bay, 10-12 hours driving, depending on conditions. Day 3: Thunder Bay to Winnipeg via Dryden and Kenora, 9-11 hours driving, depending on conditions. From here on out, you will driving the Trans-Canada all the way. On your way west out of Thunder Bay, make sure to stop at the Terry Fox memorial, on the south side of the road. Watch for moose on this leg.Day 4: Winnipeg to Regina, 6.5 to 8.5 driving hours, depending on conditions. Note that the major cause of death on Saskatchewan highways is deer-vehicle collisions, which usually take place at dawn and dusk. Day 5: Regina to Calgary, 8-10 driving hours, depending on road conditions.

回复: 分享：多伦多开车去卡尔加里的几个事项For Those Who Are Interested：1）上述列出的每站时间只是计划时间，实际发生的时间没统计过，因为手机的时间自动调整，手表和电脑的时间是Calgary的时间，所以乱掉了。实际时间可能比计划时间短一些，取决于车速。2）冬季开车要多注意路况，有暴风雪就不要勉强开，找店住一天，隔天可能是个Sunny Day。去 Weather Network 查下一段的天气。离开多伦多前查一周的沿途天气，选一好的天气时段。3）Ontario这边限速90，应该可以开到110 或低些。后段限速110，可以开到120-130。4）中途会经过小镇或村庄，限速会下调，注意路标。5）Thunder Bay 好像是OPP 的老窝，熊出没注意。6）注意校巴，这些Ass Hole 会在高速上闪灯，伸Stop牌。中间没有隔离带的话，对面也要停的。Failed to Stop Will be fined $490, plus 6 demerit points.7) 驻店的话，Super 8 （国内的速八）不错，价位100左右单人。其他便宜些的各有各的问题，也是可以住的，呵呵。(To find a Motel: hotel.com or hotwire.com) 8）总体来说，除了正在进行中的雪暴，整个路段清理比较好，路况良好。

回复: 分享：多伦多开车去卡尔加里的几个事项5）Thunder Bay 好像是OPP 的老窝，熊出没注意。10年前开车从温哥华来多伦多玩，回温哥华的路上就在这个地方吃了40分钟之内连吃两张OPP的罚单！！不过好在那时候是温哥华的牌子，压根不用交。。。。。现在打死我也不开车Trans-Canada了，体验过一次足够了，太辛苦了。很佩服楼主。。。。。。

回复: 分享：多伦多开车去卡尔加里的几个事项楼主这计划也太详细了，本人没有任何的计划，最恐怖的是还不会用GPS，分不清东南西北，这样也就导致第一天就迷路了，亏得买了地图，要不然说不定开哪去了，我开车还是新手，在多伦多买了新车，然后带着老婆，孩子用了四天的时间走了楼主的路线，因为这个路线是唯一的从加拿大走的路线，不过我是用了四天时间，最后一天直接从温尼伯开到卡尔加里。进入草原省，大部分时间时速140KM，享受了驾车乐趣，而且我就一个人开，老婆不会开车。我也是从多伦多搬到卡尔加里的

回复: 分享：多伦多开车去卡尔加里的几个事项我一般从多伦多到calgary行程d1 到thunder bay 住victoria inn d2 到brandon MB 住motel 6 这个是个新盖好的 ,d3到saskatoon,sk 住best western 这个也是新盖的，d4 到calgary, (saskatoon 到calgary 路比regina 到calgary的路好，路上所有油站都可以收信用卡，这段，4.5-5 个小时就差不多了一共600KM ）d5 温哥华，现在从calgary到温哥华的路况不错，周末刚跑了从 calgary到温哥华这段路（canmore到banff警车测速比较多）
