Eligibility Requirements You are eligible under the Loans and Bursaries Program if: you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, refugee or protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Actyou are a Québec resident or deemed a Québec resident at the time of your applicationyou are or will be admitted to an educational institution recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sportyou are pursuing or deemed to be pursuing full-time studies in a recognized programyou have not exceeded the number of months for which financial assistance may be awardedyou have not reached the debt limit established for your level of education, type of degree or programyou do not have sufficient financial resources to pursue your studies Please note that you are not eligible for the Loans and Bursaries Program if you are serving a prison sentence. If you and your spouse are both students, only one of you may be deemed to be a full-time student in a given award year.
