Adoption Coordinator - Part-time Paid Position MEOW Foundation is seeking two part-time Adoption Coordinators. Working as an adoption coordinator would be the perfect flexible, independent, part-time career for someone who:cares deeply about the welfare of cats, is passionate about the goals, values, mission and vision of MEOW Foundation, enjoys working in the non-profit sector and truly is looking for a sense of personal fulfillment in the area of animal welfare. Deadline for applications is September 16, 2006.Responsibilities: To screen and interview potential adoption applicants based on MEOW guidelines and philosophies.To counsel, arrange and help match appropriate cats to the adopter household.To complete necessary paperwork and arrange the delivery of the cat to its new home.To follow up on the adoption and provide advice and support as required. Qualifications and requirements: Mature and personableEnjoys working and talking with people and able to handle or resolve difficult situations.Articulate with good listening and observational skills.Competent, pleasant telephone and interview techniques.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Some cat knowledge and experience.Willing to work from home.Computer literate with a home computer.Telephone.Fax machine provided if needed.Vehicle a great asset. (Mileage reimbursed) Amount of Time Required: Hours of employment vary from 5 to 20 hours per week. Training Provided: Yes Salary: Starting salary dependent on experience.6 month probation period Responsible To: Adoptions Supervisor Location: Calgary - varies by location of person applying for a cat.
