Economic Sectors: Petrochemical and Refined Petroleum ProductsSarnia-Lambton is an internationally significant centre for industrial-chemical industries, and home to many well-known multinational firms, including: BP Energy, LANXESS, Dow Chemical, Invista, Exxon (through its Canadian affiliate Imperial Oil Limited), Basell, NOVA, Shell and Suncor. What we offer Sarnia-Lambton extends many advantages to chemical companies: major pipelines bring crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, ethane and ethylene to the region; a further network of pipelines facilitates transfer of intermediate feedstocks and raw materials from one company to another. Finally, Sarnia-Lambton boasts an extensive infrastructure for supporting the construction and maintenance of major capital projects-with a proven history of successfully building chemical plants in excess of $1 billion.
