I am from USA but currently import to the Southeast Asia Market.
(内容很简单,但不能因此就认为是垃圾询盘,试想如果自己是买家,能有多少时间给每一个供应商单独发询盘? GOOGLE下客人的公司名,很容易找到其网站,客人的网站在 www.alexa.com 上排名360多W,能有排名就不错了,OK,初步确定客人是值得去了解的,调整下报价单发过去)(我的大部分回盘都带报价,因为我觉得客人没有太多时间跟你不停往来邮件才拿到你的报价)
(为了节省双方的时间,赶紧回复, 第一次回盘要争取给客户的感觉:1)及时 2)专业 3)简洁不罗嗦 4)礼貌 5)我想知道的有,没想到的也有)
(我是用的FOXMAIL, 直接拉出签名里的 模板,改下客户的公司名,时间,标题)

(这些其实都是其次,最重要的是你的报价单,要亮,比你的同行的报价要详细,但客人得看得清楚,一般是用EXCEL表格,我是调整又调整才有了固定的模板,我的报价单里有2个sheet, sheet1是产品价格,参数,照片; sheet2是包装资料,每一箱装的内容,纸箱尺寸,毛净重,另外稍微改进一下,让客人自己填下数量,总的金额,立方,毛净重都自动显示出来,这个是简单的加减乘除,很容易做的,花不了多长时间)
(做到如此,客人不回复的话,那我的推断就是:
1)客人在等其他供应商的答复,再做比较, 这是最大的可能
2)客人可能在休息,未上班,但这种工作到半夜的客户很少休息的, 可能性不大
3)我们的价格太高,也不大可能,我的价格比较合理,现在的网络,价格太透明了,价格高的太多,产品参数又不是很高档,客人会直接把你delete掉 )
4)如果很长时间客人都不回复,那我也不会去问的,我做到这样连个回复都没有,那么是不用谈了,你不是诚心来买东西的

8月21日 北京时间02:57 客人回复了 (当然该时间我是在困告啦)(期间,我是一次都没去问客户,我曾经用国外的邮箱给自己的同行询盘过,对于那种第一次价格就很高的人,我是绝对不会回复的,无论对方,2天,3天的同样的邮件来问我情况如何,时间就是金钱,跟你这样的供应商谈,浪费大量时间后还不一定有满意的结果)(客人肯定是比较过几家后再挑选几个比较满意的供应商进一步沟通)

We are interested in testing the quality and sending samples to our buyers. We are currently buying from another supplier as well, however we have had problems with quality and manufacturing time. Hopefully we can find that your trampolines are to the high quality we expect. Also, your prices are a little higher than we would like. We can accept the price for our sample shipment, but we need to know if you can be flexable on price with large orders.
We have a shipment leaving Guangzhou/ Shenzhen in about 30 days... Can you make delivery before this deadline?
In our trial order we will need 20 complete 16 foot trampolines with enclosure and ladder... Also if you have trampoline cover you can include that.
We can make payment as soon as we receive a proforma invoice and lead-time/ delivery time details.
I hope that our relationship will grow and that we can use you as our new supplier.

(OK, 客人还是比较实在的)(但是当天我并没有立即回复,为什么? 美元汇率这个月降了好多,老板重新调整了价格,高了好几美金,怎么跟客人去说呢,先不急,明天再答复)

Dear Chad, (对方没有 Dear,我还是要加,感觉还是礼貌一点, 但这次我不加 Mr. 了,第一次回盘一般都带尊称 Mr./ Ms. (对男人,第一次就称呼Mr. 对女人,称呼Ms.,我觉得最好不用Mrs. 这是对已婚妇女的尊称,女人都喜欢年轻,还是用Ms.好)。 因为对方不称呼我Mr.我也不再称呼对方Mr., 一来,老外习惯这样,二来,总是称呼对方Mr.,感觉有点自降身份了)(这些都是小节,重要的还是能否满足客人的需求?)
You must know how qucik the exchange rate (USD - RMB) drops in August, in fact we have revised our prices last week, and it is higher than what I quoted to you.
We quoted the prices in May, but when customers paid the balance in end of July, the exchange rate is different, which means we could get fewer RMB.
It is very hard for our business. It is hard for me to raise price for you, but if we cooperated now, the exchange rate is also much lower than now. What's more, Shenzhen / Guangzhou is far from us, the port we usually use is Ningbo port.
The American government drops the USD rate, which brings big trouble to Chinese exporters. What we could do is: 1) raise price 2)use cheaper material
I know it is also hard for you to accept raising prices, but if we are bearing the risk of losing money, we can't do such business.
My English is not well, hope you could totally understand me. (有时候邮件说的太多了,我会加这么一句,如果客人看的烦了,看到最后一句,会原谅你的,而且,看出我是很诚恳的在跟他解释)

(老外有的公司老总会有那种亲密签名在邮件后面,我也模仿下,自己在白纸上写了半天,选一个稍微好的,扫描下,截个图,放进自己的FOXMAIL 签名里,咱也牛逼下,不知道老外会不会反感,但我这么做,1是说明咱是地道的中国人,2是让国内的外贸公司知道我的中文名,有的人就喜欢被叫英文名,但咱中国人之间总是这样也不好,会影响后代背宗弃祖的也不用汉名,只用洋名,咱起洋名是方便老外称呼和识别) (可能咱觉得直接称呼中文名不大礼貌,但我希望尽量让人知道我的中文 姓)
言归正传,这封邮件里,我没有给客人价格,先让对方缓一换,有个心理准备

(此前报的产品还是中档次的,觉得客人是走量少,但高档一点的,所以这里提了下我们还有更好的,只是价格太贵,这里价格没具体给他,看他反应再说)
And, we bear much more inland fee to ship goods to Shenzhen, please check extra inland fee in the PI. ( Total G.W. about 2400KG, volume about 8 CBM)
For the payment, our policy is: 30% deposit before production, 70% balance against copy of B/L by email
As usual, for amount under $5000, we hope customers could pay 100% in advance, because bank charges us for each transfer. ( This is not complusory ) (付款方式,一般这种样品单,金额小的,一次性全额定金是最好,但30%定金,70%见提单副本结清余款也可以, 这里也是对客人的试探,如果他能一次性全额定金,说明这个客人还比较爽快)
I know raised price is hard for you, no matter if you could accept it or not, just for your reference, we welcome your enquiry at any time. (再次说下理解接受涨价对客人是有点难处的,即使你不买也没关系,价格可以供你参考,以后也可以随时来询价,是不是有点以退为进的感觉,看起来我是在打退堂鼓,没信心了,但似乎又有一根线拉着客户呢)(我不喜欢跟客人说,哎呀,我的同行做的怎么怎么不好呀,你在我这里买是最好的选择! 客人是有脑袋瓜的,自己会想,好与不好,不是凭你片面之词就定的)

(有时候英文也有个别错别字,不过问题不大,只要客人知道就行,况且老外也会打错,打漏 字母。 我有一个美国客人,犹太人,母语意第绪语,英语说的很好,但写嘛就经常是错误的字母,还好基本上知道他想打的是什么单词)
(有些错别字,希望同志们见谅,呵呵,OK 这票单子还在进行中,并未定下,结果还是未知。 只是最近稍微有点空,来论坛跟同志们一起分享下,对同志们有点帮助那是最好,如有误导之处,也望同志们指认)

The increased price is acceptable. (哈,接受涨后的价格,其实之前把握都不是很大,报价之后再跟客户涨价真的很伤脑筋,更何况是才一周就要求涨?尤其是跟主要的几个老客户去涨价,那是心肝脾肺肾百般搅和之后在冷静下来才去跟客户慢慢解释)
Can you please check for the complete shipping cost from your port at Ningbo to:
Sihanoukville or kampong som, Cambodia (一看,柬埔寨,oh my lady gaga,我们的产品是家用的,主要放在庭院里给小孩玩的,体积有点大,主要的市场是欧美,澳大利亚,新西兰; 不过去年也做了3个泰国的小单,这些地方,跟中国一样,人均面积少;况且,他们的收入不比欧美这些国家,所以消费者主要是那些当地少数比较有钱,有别墅及庭院的群体)(不过既然我们来安排海运,风险就要小点,继续看下文)
Also, could you please let me know the cost of the highest quality materials. Do you perhaps have pictures of the difference? (客人还是想知道最好的质量是什么样的)
We like the look of the safety netting on the outside of the mat. This makes the trampoline look much larger and more appealing. If you have some pictures of the actual 16' product it would be very helpful.
Do you have a problem if we include maybe 2 CM or less of other samples... Could we deliver them to you and have you combine them? If it is too difficult we understand..

Sent from my iPhone (iPhone果然强大啊!!! 不过偶然在网上看到,国产的小米科技智能手机好像今年9月要发布,据说性能也不错,价格却便宜很多,不知是否属实,绝无广告嫌疑,此处纯属口水。不过我觉得还是中国人厉害,好多人家搞了很久的东西,中国人一会就能搞的跟你差不多,价格还便宜。毕竟还是人多,1W人里出一个精英,也能把你们老外比趴下)(说到国人,我这里有一点废话,国人的道德层面在被那些钻法律漏洞的或者法律都错判的案件给一点一点的在消磨掉,现在看到老太太倒地,都没人敢去扶了,甚至都不敢靠近。经济是在飞速发展,但教育却未跟上步伐,富二代骑车撞到小女孩,头都不回就想走,其父来了也不道歉,反而去骂记者, 这个“理”字在一些人的脑袋里估计是没有概念的,我们现在已经看不到礼仪之邦,礼仪啊……)

I am asking my agent the shipping freight( including EBS & CIC) (这2个费用是东南亚特有的,现在已经不是单独的了,船公司直接算到海运费里收取了)to Sihanoukville or kampong som, Cambodia
The net I quoted to you is outside type (outside the frame pad), you could see pictures in my first quotation.
For trampoline with best frame pad and net, the price is much more expensive, about $15 dollars higher, that is why I don't quote it to our customers. (可以跟客人粗略的说下最好的质量价格大概要高多少,看看对方的反应)
Where are the 2 cbm goods located? If the container is loaded in our factory, we could help load the 2 cbm for you, but we have only 8 CBM, we have to send the goods to the warehouse at Ningbo port. So please check with the other supplier if they could send goods to Ningbo port.
Also thank you for payment 100% in advance. (客人爽快,表达一下谢意)
