Physical property: Formic acid is a kind of colorless, smoding, inflammable liquid with irritant odor and very strong corrosiveness and can be mixed with water. Its specific gravity is 1.22 g/cm3(20°C),melting point is 86°C and boiling point is 100.8°C. Stronger reducing, present the acid reaction.
Quality standard: GB/T 2093-93 national standard
Use: Formic acid is one of organic chemical raw materials, which is extensively used in pesticide leather, dyestuff, medicine and rubber industries.
(1) Medicine industry: caffeine,analgin,aminopyrine,aminophylline,cacaine,vitamin B1,metronidazole, mebendazole.
(2) Pesticides industry: triadimefon,tricyclazole,phentriazophos,pactobutrazol,sumiseven,dicofol, etc.
(3)Chemicalindustry:calciumformate,potassiumformate,bariumformate,N,Ndimethylformamide,carboxmide,l,l,ltrimethylolpropane,rubberantioxidants,pentaerythrite,neopentyglycol,soybeanoilepoxide,Ammonium formate, etc.
(4) Leather industry: leather tanning agent,deliming agent, and neutralizer.
(5) Other: furniture dye,handle,the metals planes plasticizing agert.
