碰到好多的外贸业务员，总是说自己找不到客户，然问他们怎么搜索的时候，一般都是用自己的产品关键词搜索。 仅局限于自己的产品？？？？ 通常这样检索客户，最终的结果就是：没有客户可找 ，找不到多少客户等。比如：魔芋面条 konjac noodle
借这个案例，给大家开拓一下客户搜索的思路。
首先： 假如你用产品关键词去GOOGLE等搜索引擎搜索的话，很多时候，你会搜出哪些页面呢？
比如：会维基百科介绍 konjac noodle，会有一些B2C网站卖 konjac noodle的，会有一些视频网站介绍 konjac noodle，会有一些B2B网站供应该发布的关于 konjac noodle的介绍，会有一些社交网站发布的各类 konjac noodle的吃法等相关信息。
找出这些信息以后，会发现有很多是和你不相关的，你经过自己的过虑，仅仅只得到一少部分有效的客户信息。然后就会发现自己没有客户，这怎么办？
两个思路，可以帮助你寻找到更多的买家：
1：多研究产品不同关键词的组合，产品的衍生行业，有目的地来搜索你想要的哪一类公司网站，多考虑有哪些特征关键词。
2：跳出只用产品搜索的思维，从客户的市场入手，了解客户上下游和产品的流通链，设定关键词，找特定的客户类型。
要做到以上两点，我们需要先了解自己产品的流通链及自己客户本身的情况。
1：产品的材质，用途及该产品所运用的行业，同类周边产品，
比如：魔芋面条
材质：魔芋，面粉
用途：主食，面食
运用行业：超市，餐馆，酒店，快捷西餐馆等等
周边同类产品：面粉制品（各类面条，面包等），魔芋制品（魔芋寿司卷，魔芋拌片，魔芋啫喱，魔芋面包，魔芋布丁等等）
2：买家的具体情况
当问到业务员，你了解自己的客户吗？ “不太清楚”。这个就是很多外贸业务员的现状。
卖给客户做了很多单了也不知道客户买去干什么用的，只知道客户询价的时候要什么规格，报个价格寄个样品就好。
做销售，不管是内贸还是外贸，不管是任何经典的教程，都会提到一个关键词：“客户需求”。
比如：客户买来再分销卖出去，那你可以多了解一些客户有的全部业务，根据他的业务描述的关键词，找与他同类产品的同行。
不了解自己的客户，销售是很难做下去的。建议您看这个文章以后，多了解一下自己的客户。
了解了这些以后，我们该怎么组合关键词来搜索呢？以下是我们拓展出来的关键词：
比如：

有的人可能会问，我要找的是做魔宇面条的买家，不是做面条的？
那么我想问你两个问题 ：
1：做面条的企业，难道他们都不做魔芋面条吗？ 肯定有企业是做的。面食西餐厅，难道他们只能吃到一种面条吗？
2：你是去找代理商（中间商），即使这些企业没有代理过，你难道不可以去说服他们来了解你的产品，让他们成为你的代理商吗？ 你想想，如果这些企业能够代理你们的产品，他们以前又没有卖过，如果能成为你们的合作伙伴，你们的竞争是不是更小？利润是不是会更高？
好了，看到这里，你是不是已经跃跃欲试了？ 每个行业的客户群都是比较类似的，大家可以举一反三，如果你有兴趣，建议你尝试。
说到这再补充一下：很多业务员在搜索客户的时候喜欢用：importer, distributor, wholesaler, dealer, retailer.
这些词并不建议常用，你想想一个采购商，他在对自己的业务进行描述的时候，会告诉别人他是进口商吗？ 大多数是不会告诉的，就好比中国的贸易商公司，对外还总说自己是生产商一样。不是不用，尽量少用这些词吧，毕竟在业务中写这些词的企业比较少。
