[Fraud Alert] Please beware of fraudulentDear EC Plaza Sellers and Buyers,
Recently, EC Plaza received several fraud reports from buyers. Most cases involved fraudulent sellers who were offering iPod digital music players, notebook computers, SLR digital cameras and other name-brand items.
EC Plaza provides a web-based platform for promotion and information exchange.
All transactions that take place through www.ecplaza.net are the sole responsibility of buyers and sellers.
EC Plaza does not provide protection or compensation for victims of disputed transactions between seller and buyer. We hope you take this into consideration concerning this matter.
Here are some features of the aforementioned fraudulent transactions:
1. Products: iPod digital music players, notebook computers, SLR digital cameras, other name-brand items
2. Country of Seller: Indonesia
3. Payment terms: Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) in advance, bank transfer.
4. Amount range: Below USD $3,000
How buyers can prevent transaction risk from internet fraud:
1. Avoid advance payment terms in initial transaction.
2. Evaluate seller’s legitimacy and credit
3. Contact seller by means other than email
4. Document all transaction details, including: Purchase Order, Bank Transfer receipts, etc.
In the foreseeable future, EC Plaza will launch “EC Plaza Safe Transaction Service” to minimize transaction risks for both buyers and sellers.
