从最初跟客户联系到客户决定下单,前后花了十天,这也是我开始外贸的第一个订单,有很多热心人无私的和大家分享了自己的经验,令我从中学习不少,所以愿意把一点小小的成果跟大家共享下,一起进步。客户是最初在Google上通过搜索引擎搜到的,然后在客户的网站上找到了客户的邮件地址,就给客户发了一封开发信:
Dear Mr.
We have obtained your name and address from the www.tradeindia.com and learned that you are in the market for XX.

跟老总说了之后,老总不同意,并要我跟说客户考虑到是新客户,报的这个价钱已经很低了,无奈,我只能照老总的意思给客户回复,不过我隐约感到如果真这样跟客户说,客户肯定不会理我了。

果然,客户再也没有了回音,在等待了三天之后,我按捺不住,想知道客户的真实意思到底是什么,就又给客户写了一封信。

I understand that you might want to compare the prices with other suppliers, but I believe quality especially stable quality is also very important to you when you are looking for long-term suppliers. As the leading XX supplier in China, we have very good quality control system and we can guarantee you the quality of our each shipment. I’m sure you’ll have a better understanding about it if you would like to place the trial order. For your large orders in the future, the price can be negotiated based on the quantity that you want to purchase; I truely believe we’ll reach some middle grounds at that time.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any time.

Your price US$6350/- is costing higher landed cost as follows:
US$6350/- X INR 42/- = INR266700/- X 8% Duties =INR21336/- + 5% clearing & other expensesINR 13335 =Total INR301371/-
whereas we are locally buying @ INR280000/-Mt.
Looking to above present landed price,we requested to make it US$6000/- so that we can start long term business.
Trial order is to certify your product by our customers otherwise we do not buy less than 10Mt.
We hope you will understand & will start business with us.
他给我算了笔账,认为他还的价是合理的,虽然我们的这个产品价格一直在走低,但我知道公司还没有按这个价格出过货,但我决定还是跟老总争取下,看能不能降点,哪怕是50美元,至少可以向客户表明我们的诚意。出乎我的意料,老总同意了,说可以降200美元。呵呵~当时就觉得看来还是事在人为呀。
我马上就给客户回了信,因为公司只做前TT和即期信用证,所以不能接受客户提出的CAD付款方式,我就趁给客户降价的机会向客户提出了我方的要求,即付款方式只能按TT和即期信用证。

only accept L/C at sight or T/T 30% in advance as the terms of payment. I have tried my best and I’m afraid this is the best offer I can get from my boss, I do hope you could understand it.
We await with keen interest in your reply and I sincerely hope this will be the beginning of our happy cooperation.
我觉得这次应该成的机会很大了。果然,客户30分钟后就给我回信了,
OK We accepte your price. Send your Sell Contract .

一看到这句话,我就知道成功了,而且客户同意了前TT 100%付款,在确认了合同的当天就把款汇了。
在恰当的时间遇到了一个好的客户,我觉得自己真的很幸运。(完)

Email 写的不错阿,不过我觉得你一次降这么多客户还能接受,也有点幸运,因为你降这么多,客户觉得你的利润肯定很大,不然不可能将这么多,他可能还要和你降价,你的客户一次接受真的不容易。
