加拿大外贸
事情是这样的,我们之前都是藉由一家国外三角贸易商做生意
一直以来都很稳定的下订单,5.6年吧
直到去年一整年没订单 其中问了也只说价格太竞争~~
后面没消息了..
直到我随着线索找到源头客户!!是另一个国外的wholesale,!!!
之后我找到客户官网上发的Catalog, 寄上managing director跟operation manager说明情况
隔天
回我的是他们的采购!!
内容如下
I have been looking after the procurement over the past 6 years or so, and we had purchased these from a company in other countries, who obviously wasn`t manufacturing them, and was purchasing them from you.
"This model of product was a very good product for us, but long lead times & pricing pressure forced us to find a way to decrease our costs.
What we ended up doing was to switch to another manufacturer.(which was slightly different to the mould you have) at a reduced price.
I am happy to contact you directly in future for purchasing, but we will need to sell off some of our old stock before we place new orders.
Maybe in a month or 2 I will be in touch to discuss pricing an production.
Can you send me a catalogue on the other items you produce, as we sell a wide range of these items also.
后面我跟他要了地址跟报价了他一直跟我们买的产品,
他说了地址 跟 Thx for the pricing and email. I will stay in touch.
在寄出catalog后,
距离这封信之后已经一个月又一两天了!!
问题:
请问我该追踪了吗?该怎么发email询问比较好?
这客户我们追回的机会大吗?

在我寄了兩小時後,
對方回復:
Hi Roger,
When the xxx products come up for re-order(xxx是我們的產品), the purchase order will be sent to you, it is set up in our system for this.
We just had a large order arrive not long before you contacted us directly, so we have to burn off some stock before placing new orders.

As for our products,
We checked Catalogue again, it didn’t indicate that our products with x function.
For your information, the products you purchased from us are all with that features. But we can also do the products with x funtion and the price will be reduced to USD 20.5/pc CIF Sydney.
Please tell us if anything keeps unchanged so we could have production in same condition at once.

因為對方說"Maybe 1 month or 2" 我想說一個月左右再問....不然對方會覺得煩吧

其实这个很正常,老外跟你说了要一两个月清理库存,那么你一个月后开始联系就行了。
可以从以下几方面:
1)因为你们谈单和做货,运输的原因,货物到达客户那边应该也是几个月之后,所以你现在完全可以报价了,然后建议客户尽快下单;
2)在这个期间,同类的新产品也可以推荐,然后免费提供样品(运费客户付)给客户去测试市场是否喜欢
3)可以顺带问问客户的库存清的怎么样了
