Job @ Flavorchem InternationalFlavorchem International Inc. is seeking an experienced Food Technologist for a full time position. Flavorchem International Inc. is recognized as a leader in its industry in Canada, supplying high quality, custom designed flavors and ingredients to many of the top companies in the food, dairy, confection, baking, beverage, pharmaceutical, health and snack industries. Reporting to the Manager of Product Development, the Food Technologist will be involved in the sampling and development of flavours, seasoning and dry blends for the food industry.Candidates must: * Have an excellent knowledge of ingredient functionality along with analytical and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of snack seasonings, cook-up and instant sauces, beverages, and other dry mixes would be an asset.* Manage multiple project requests ranging from sampling of existing products, creative development of innovative products, and improving existing products * Perform research to upgrade food products as related to appearance, palatability, nutritional value and cost.Ideal candidate will have minimum three years of successful product development experience, preferably in the flavour, ingredient or processed food industries. Undergraduate degree in Food Science (or equivalent) is required. Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment and be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
