安大略医院协会（OHA）于今天周一发布一条推文，称由于受人关注的新冠病异病例正在急剧增加，医院的重症监护患者数量呈上升趋势。
OHA表示：“我们现在处于第三波疫情中，并迫切需要人人坚决遵守公共卫生措施，以防止医院被病例激增压垮。”

安省今天周一宣布新增1268例COVID-19病例。
与此同时，多伦多市卫生官员埃琳·德·维拉博士（Eileen de Villa）也在周一表示，现在称安省开始第三波疫情为时过早。
卫生官员承认近期病例出现数字增长，但当局认为还在撑控之中。
官员表示：“大流行还没有结束，但已经接近终点。”
