（加西網綜合）4月21日，作為加拿大央行的調息窗口，並沒有迎來之前很多坊間預測的提前加息，隔夜利率維持在0.25%保持不變。

但是，加拿大經濟形勢復蘇出現積極勢頭，央行今天也釋放出信號：加息可能會比之前預計的時間提前。

央行在今天的調息公告中指出，加拿大經濟復蘇需要寬松的量化貨幣（ quantitative easing，簡稱QE）政策，不過從目前的經濟形勢來看，加拿大經濟復蘇可能會好於預期。
因此加拿大央行也調高了GDP增長比例，預測2021年GDP增長從原來4%提高到了6.5%。
預計持續到2023年的歷史最低位隔夜利率0.25%或將在2022年下半年開始調高。
根據加拿大統計局最新的價格指數CPI統計，今年3月相比去年同期CPI增長了2.2%。
