運輸聯線（Translink）表示世博線（Expo Line）正在經歷延誤，因為在新西敏站發生了醫療緊急事故。加拿大線和千禧線不受影響。
目前，已有巴士在Edmonds Street 和 Columbia Street 兩站之間往返。
新西敏警方表示正在 New Westminster 進行調查，請民眾避開天車站區域。

不過，New Westminster 天車站的廣場仍然開放，運輸聯線特意做了澄清。

通常天車站發生醫療事故表示有人掉落站台或者自殺。目前，已有網友披露一名男子在一輛正在開的天車前跳下。

據其表示他的朋友正在上班的路上，同一輛巴士上有一名男子在哭泣，當他們到天車站時，這個男子在一輛移動的天車前跳下。
另外有網友表示自殺的人被她坐的天車撞到了。真是太痛苦了。急救人員迅速趕到了現場。
