运输联线（Translink）表示世博线（Expo Line）正在经历延误，因为在新西敏站发生了医疗紧急事故。加拿大线和千禧线不受影响。
目前，已有巴士在Edmonds Street 和 Columbia Street 两站之间往返。
新西敏警方表示正在 New Westminster 进行调查，请民众避开天车站区域。

不过，New Westminster 天车站的广场仍然开放，运输联线特意做了澄清。

通常天车站发生医疗事故表示有人掉落站台或者自杀。目前，已有网友披露一名男子在一辆正在开的天车前跳下。

据其表示他的朋友正在上班的路上，同一辆巴士上有一名男子在哭泣，当他们到天车站时，这个男子在一辆移动的天车前跳下。
另外有网友表示自杀的人被她坐的天车撞到了。真是太痛苦了。急救人员迅速赶到了现场。
