九爱加拿大網報道：BC省野火服務處表示，昨天出現在Hope地區一號高速公路附近的Flood Falls Trail 地區的山火在一夜之間已經擴到了30公頃。
BC 野火服務處信息官 Gordon Robinson 周五早上表示：“我們已經派遣22名工作人員以及5架直升機，與Hope鎮的消防部門密切合作”。
據稱火災發生在極其陡峭的地形上，地面大火蔓延到樹木中。

BC 野火服務處稱還有 40 名人員正在前往火災現場，預計今天野火會變得更大。
Robinson稱：“由於風和地形，預計周五會有更多增長，尤其是上坡”。
野火服務處已經將這處山火定位為失控。
Hope鎮消防局在周四晚些時候也注意到了火災，但由於地形原因無法接近火場。
消防隊長湯姆·德索西（Tom DeSorcy）在周五早上的一條推文中表示，沒有財產受到威脅。

野火服務處的官員表示他們認為火災是人為的。
目前，山火尚未影響附近一號高速的交通。
此外，靠近美國邊境，大溫附近還有幾處失控的山火，目前尚不清楚會有怎樣的影響。
