據大溫地區政府稱，東菲沙河谷、中菲沙河谷和大溫地區的空氣質量警告已經生效，這些地區已經測出高濃度的細顆粒物。
附近的山火正在吉利瓦克東南部、霍普附近、哈裡森湖和華盛頓州燃燒，這些地區煙霧彌漫，離火場較近的地方可能會經歷更大的煙霧影響。
這幾周，大溫華人經常去賞秋色的美國貝克山，本周末繼續被山火煙霧籠罩，空氣為中等污染，長期暴露對健康不利。

根據世界空氣質量指數，10月15日星期六，溫哥華在全球空氣質量最差的城市中排名第20，附近的西雅圖排名第8，波特蘭排名第24。
根據西溫消防局今天發布的最新信息，西溫鷹嶺山火救援工作取得良好的進展，涼爽的溫度和無風有利山火的撲滅，火勢仍然得到控制。今天一些小路仍然關閉，不過，懷特湖（Whyte Lake）已經開放。
