据悉，由于国王风暴潮（king tide storm surge）导致水位上升，周二（12月27日）有人被困在菲沙河温哥华和列治文交界处的工业岛米切尔岛（Mitchell island），下午12点45分起米切尔岛（Mitchell island）已经关闭。
截至周二下午，据电台路况信息由乃桥（Knight Street Bridge）进入米切尔岛（Mitchell island）的道路已经封锁。
有人在社交媒体上发布米切尔岛部分淹没车辆的照片。

根据天气预测，周二上午9点30分左右将出现大雨、强风和风暴潮，促使包括列治文在内的低陆平原许多沿海社区收到风暴潮警告。
周二晚些时候，米切尔岛 (Mitchell Island) 重新开放。
列治文市府在推特上称，随着洪水退去，进出该岛的车辆已恢复通行。没有人员伤亡报告，岛上突发洪水的原因“仍在调查中”。
