（九爱加拿大網綜合）昨天周六平安夜， 一輛由內陸城市基洛納開往溫哥華的大巴，在溫哥華以東330公裡的南部內陸地區97C高速公路發生事故，至少有53人被送往醫院。
根據CTV的最新消息：當局證實昨天平安夜，BC省南部內陸地區一條高速公路上發生了一起嚴重的巴士車禍，已經導致4人死亡，數十人受傷。

基洛納皇家騎警在周日的一份聲明中證實了這些死亡事件，稱警察於昨天下午6點左右被叫到梅裡特以東的97C高速公路靠近Loon Lake出口處。
騎警在聲明中確認事故導致4人死亡，多人受傷。
警方正對事故進行調查，但初步調查據信是極度結冰的道路導致大巴翻車。
內陸衛生局也提供了最新情況，證實有52人被送往醫院，包括坎盧普斯的皇家內陸醫院。
BC省緊急衛生服務局在昨天晚上8點21分發推文，稱這輛由基洛納開往溫哥華的大巴在Loon Lake出口附近發生事故，派出多組醫療人員前往事發現場。

根據《城市新聞》的報道車上兩名乘客的父親匿名稱事故發生在星期六下午6點15分左右，當時這輛巴士滿載，至少有40-50人。他的兩個女兒也在車上，他已經收到女兒的電話稱車上有乘客嚴重受傷。
據這位父親說，他的女兒和一些同車的乘客正就地避難，很多人都失去了手機。
