BMO Financial Group - reports to the Sr. Manager, HR Systems Business Integration Analyst (BA role combined with Process Analyst) 65k - The HR Business Integration Analyst, under the direction of the Senior Manager, HR Systems, acts as an intermediary between the HR user community and the technical community (including third party vendors) working with HR Technology project teams and HR clients to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which HR applications and processes are developed and implemented. The specific responsibilities of the role are as follows: Key Responsibilities: ?Co-ordinates the definition and documentation of business needs for new and/or enhanced HR systems through meetings and interviews with various users and subject matter experts ?Translates business needs into detailed business requirements for HR Technology project teams and third party vendors ?Ensures HR systems meet the Bank's enterprise-wide business requirements ?Supports business units by identifying issues, investigating operational related problems/inquiries, standardizing issues and processes, and recommending solutions (tools and/or processes) pertaining to HR systems ?Identifies and manages business inter-dependencies with other HR systems and initiatives ?Keeps team members informed of discussions with business, maintains up-dated documentation on HR systems, and shares with project team any new findings including best practices ?Provides consultancy and advice on functionality, applicability and usability of HR systems to business requirements ?Conducts workflow analysis to design, develop and/or optimize HR business processes resolving issues as required or providing detailed recommendations where appropriate ?Develops and maintains in depth knowledge and expertise on HR systems and trends through review of trade magazines, HR web sites, conferences, and network of user contacts Skills / Experience / Education Required: The successful candidate should have: ?Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive business analysis experience including, defining business requirements, working with various business and process modeling techniques, and developing user acceptance testing strategies, test plans, and execution in support of medium to large size projects. Process mapping and analysis skills. ?An understanding of Human Resources policies, standards and processes and familiarity with HR legal/regulatory issues. ?Experience with HR applications (i.e. Payroll, Benefits, Pension, Peoplesoft HRIS, Excel, Workbrain, Deploy, MS Access etc) ?A university degree/college diploma, or equivalent business experience. ?Strong interpersonal skills, including coaching, facilitating, negotiation and a high degree of interviewing, probing and influencing abilities are a must. ?Be a team player with superior written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization. ?Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex, ambiguous issues and situations with unstructured, adaptive, and creative thinking and be able to adapt to a variety of situations and styles, with a strong determination to succeed. Additional Info: Experience in financial services and a broad knowledge of HR Technology solutions and market trends is a definite asset.
