我咨询各位大佬一个问题:如果培训经理经常以英语语言问题对你横加指责并且对你区别对待是不是算一种歧视?因为我永远无法达到native的水平。具体是这样,我们刚上了个培训经理,我4个月前已经培训结束,surpervisor已经signed off,和我同期白人的培训没事,对我他又多设几个考察,比如mock,和rephrase,问他说你英语问题,还说我们交流没问题,你能理解我,我也理解你,弄得我都糊涂了。我说那就不是英语问题,是沟通技巧,他同意,然后我说沟通是双向的balabal,,,,他竟然认为给我说话时要发好每个音说的clear是个负担,原话是I must speak clarely to u.我认为说明白是对每个人的尊重,最起码的吧,他年龄大了说话吞音。既然双向沟通那他也有责任不是,他自相矛盾。如果是在培训中给我小灶我会感激他,现在他应该是给我小鞋吧?一句话,如果你因为英语问题被区别对待了,算不算歧视?另外遇到这种事怎么办?感觉建立信任好难。如果他一直对我“关照”下去,我会非常有受挫感,或者他歧视我对我区别对待?或者我去哪个机构咨询一下?这样算不算歧视?因为我们永远达不到native的水平。

关注YouTube channel:gonghaiyong也许他是为了帮我,以便我顺利进行下一个阶段培训,但是我上一个阶段培训已经结束还拿出来,不是为难我算啥? 另外怎么定义顺畅交流?说话吞音,满口俚语,语速很快,我当然听不明白,但是关键是不吞音,正常语速的时候我都能听懂并且交流。点击展开... 吞音、俚语。。。。。这些确实是学外语的难点,文化背景不同。没办法。如果我们和老外说,你这个马大哈或者狐狸精,估计老外也晕菜。我们不可能要求老外像新闻主持人那样字正腔圆地和我们说话,只能是我们尽量去适应了,尽管很难。我也最头疼和口音重的老外打交道。

吃不饱的出来,吃饱的不出来,吃饱了撑的出来。好像不是 重复他传递给你的信息,如果他觉得你领会得足够好,反馈回来的足够好,就会放心很多。还有就是,如果发生第一次没听懂,要重复的情况,你第二次就主动给mentor讲这个东西,打消他的疑虑。总之,就proactive,是不是会好些。我估计他可能对你有什么地方不放心。点击展开...

A period of time went by when he was not selected from this list for temporary assignments. The teacher learned that a note had been attached to his file which said that he did not speak English. The teacher filed a human rights application, and at a hearing before the Tribunal, the respondent indicated that the note should have stated that the complainant spoke English with an "accent" and therefore should not be assigned to substitute for teachers in English or Social Studies classes. She had also studied in Italy. She applied for a position as a social worker with a community organization. The job description stated that, in addition to the technical skills and experience as a social worker that would be required for the job, competence in speaking "Italian, Portuguese or Chinese would be an asset". Although she was the best qualified applicant, she was denied the position because the agency felt that its client group would not be able to relate to "how" she spoke Italian, that is, her accent. She felt that her race was the real reason she was not hired and subsequently filed an application with the Tribunal.​

回复: 这样算不算歧视?我觉得负责培训的那个guy可能觉到你有质疑他的地方了,先不管对与错,先搞好关系再说吧,新人一般来说都要保持一个低姿态。搞好关系: 主动打招呼;找话题寒暄;或帮买咖啡;吃饭时套瓷;看他究竟哪里不满意了。这也是别人告诉我的方法,尝试尝试吧,反正礼多人不怪嘛。把关系弄僵了,很影响上班的心情的。要挑战培训经理?很大程度上,结果是鸡蛋碰石头,你们公司如果不信任他就不会把他放到那个位置上。不好意思,说话很直接。

回复: 这样算不算歧视?语言问题能够成歧视吗?英语是移民必须要过的坎,官方语言啊,政府也是这样倡导的,办移民签证时不是还需要雅思成绩?如果按照lz的思路,这也是歧视吗?异国生活工作挑战很大,敞开心胸,坦然面对,相信lz也是一时的怨气而已,还是努力提高积极沟通吧,祝lz好运

回复: 这样算不算歧视?高人高见,他就是不放心我下一个阶段的培训我是否能领会,另外听别人说我不积极的一个story。 但是那个story 仅仅是misunderstood,他说有人看见我没有做自己的分内工作,实际情况是我正在做,还没做完。我给他解释了,他说要check 一下。我说你尽快check,那个管闲事的老外已经给我道歉了,说误解我了。 另外,我的manager说,我才不管什么story呢,如果我感觉你哪个地方做的不对就会直接告诉你,或者我觉得你做的不对就直接告诉你怎么做。感觉这才是老外的思维,反正我的manager一直cover me,至今没让培训经理问我,重新讨论的training path。但是他也提醒我,不知道为什么培训经理要chew me off,还是好好准备一下。点击展开...还有story?也够复杂的公司!lz是什么行业啊
