Hi Guys, I am a freshman in foreign trade industry.It has been 2 weeks since I joined this company, and, so far, NO ORDER.
FOB BBS is like an everyday MUST to me. I read a lot of stories from you guys and tried to learned as much as I can.
BUT one thing I am wondering:
Many experienced and successful FTers told us to call our clients and said that it would make a good effect.
But I doubt if it is polite to call clients when they hardly know who I am.
I know that in China, it is a custom to establish business relationship through phone calls.
But is it the same in European and North America markets?
Will clients feel disturbed?
Waiting for your opinions```
Can anybody share a story in which you gain an order through phone call ????

Fifty and fifty, email works, phone call works, exhibition works, appointment works...
Honestly, some might get annoyed, some might slice you a chance when you try to
interest them on the phone.
It's not an issue of courtesy, but efficiency and strategy. Take it easy, 2 weeks of order
absence is just an appetizer, get your ass ready for the main course. Stories, experiences,
examples...these are all offered for refering. Strive your way, do the time and good luck.

I'm just not so sure what my role is.
my boss gave me 5 potential clients to follow. she got their contacts through Canton fair.
but now she passed me all sample orders so I merely have time to follow my clients.
Honestly I am happy dealing with orders because from that part I really learn sth. about products and manufacture.
and...I know many guys out there strive to develop new clients, but, that is not included in my job, for present stage.
maybe we only develop new clients though fairs...
looking forward to the coming Canton Fair```heehee``
