Item : BLACK SOCKS
1. SCOPE
1.1 This specification covers the requirements for stretch type, ribbed ,knit , polyester black socks.
2. DESCRIPTION
2.1 The knitted socks should have an elastic top, ring on the top of the ankle, ring at the middle of the instep, a reciprocated heel and standard flat toe Seam.
2.2 The socks should be knit on a single or double cylinder.
2.3 The knitting should be as follows :
2.3.1 Folded top : rib-knit 1/1 “ derby”.
2.3.2 Leg : rib-knit 1/1 “derby”
2.3.3 Ankle ring and instep ring 1.5 inch high: rib-knit 1/1 “derby” having circular spandex lining among the ring circumference.
2.3.4 Instep and below : jersey.
2.4 the socks should be suitable for wearing with the black shoe.
2.5 The finished socks should conform to the sizes stated in table no. 1
2.6 The leg length and foot length should be stretchable by 40% of its relaxed lengths.

1. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
1.1 MATERIAL : The socks should be made from 75% polyester fiber (min.) with a maximum of 25% spandex for fitness.
1.2 ELASTIC TOP : The elastic top is a 2 inch high.
1.3 COLOR : The color of the socks should be black.
1.4 BURSTING STRENGTH : The leg material of the finished socks should have a ball bursting strength of not less than 70 kg.
1.5 SHRINKAGE : The shrinkage at foot length and leg length should be not more than 3%.
2. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Each socks should have a size marking applied just below the instep and centered between the ankle and toe. The color of the marking should be white.
2.2 Each pair of socks should have a commercial type label containing the fiber contents information and washing instructions.
2.3 A certificate of Eco-Label for the socks should be presented in due course. (Eco – Label is one of the quality labels in textiles industry that issued by the European union. It is only issued for textiles products that comply with environmental regulations which prohibit the use of some dangerous chemicals or dyes that produce toxic compounds after dissolving, which causes cancer diseases or sensitivity diseases ).
2.4 The imported shipments should be new, thus, the duration between the shipment receipt date and the manufacturing date should not exceed 12 months maximum.
2.5 All the plastic, rubber, leather and any other materials stated in this specification should be able to sustain the weather conditions of Saudi Arabia.
3. STANDARDS
3.1 The technical specification, and the standard samples ( if available ) kept by the logistics and supply directorate is the figure reference for all material, components, design, and color details. In addition to that, the RSADF Logistics and Supply Directorate has a full right to accept or reject any of the presented samples.
