A GFI plug or internal circuit/mechanism is required for sale in the USA. This GFI unit must be a UL approved design. I will need details on the part selected. It is probably best of you find the GFI circuit locally. The GFI must be very reliable, not trip accidentally, trip when it should, have an indicator light to tell if it is tripped or OK, and be easy to reset if tripped. We must be able to assess this.
Without a good GFI, "legal" sales are not possible in the USA and liability is unlimited.
