1.We measure the sound pressure with a standard white noise.
2.The measurement is weighted in dBA.
3.The microphone goes directly between the ear cups so that we can simulate the sound pressure on the ear.
Please send us another sample with the dB level at no more than 85dB. So aim for a level of 82dB ± 3.

We tested for many different things on these headphones for kids. To find the frequency curve, we use a real-time audio (RTA) spectrum analyzer, as well as a uni-directional condenser microphone. We use a dB meter against the ear cups to find the peak dB. We also test with white noise as well as high and low frequencies with the dB meter.
We just need the headphones to peak at 85dB because that is the required dB level that headphones can be when selling to children.
