我客户说要去我们展会的摊位，到时候和我见面。我告诉他今年我不去的，我同事到时候会接待他的。是不是可以说my colleague will receive you at our booth.接待你可以说receive you吗，这种用法对不对呢，还是有其他的表示‘接待你’呢？

这是一种而已，参考一下。至于你同事主动给客户打电话，还是等客户联系你同事，都不重要。

完全可以，也很匹配场合。receive 做及物动词，本身就有接待的意思，而且也常用。比如：
I have to receive a great deal of company. She was received in a small, quiet office. 句子中的 receive 都有 接待 的意思。
