Final CIF Qingdao Price = Base Price IODEX + (Base 1% Fe Diff. × Fe Spread) – SiO2 discount
Where:
Base Platts IODEX
=“Base Price IODEX” means the arithmetic mean of all the midpoint assessments published in “Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily” under the heading“PLATTS DAILY IRON ORE PRICE ASSESSMENTS / IODEX 62% Fe CIF North China” for those days within the Quotation Period;
Base 1% Fe Differential = “Base 1% Fe Differential” means the arithmetic mean of the assessments published in “Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily” under the heading“PLATTS DAILY IRON ORE PRICE ASSESSMENTS / Per 1% Fe differential (Range 60-63.5% Fe)” for those days within the Quotation Period;
SiO2 discount
=“SiO2 discount” means US$ 14.9/dmt basis 11.00% SiO2, to be increased by US$ 1.50/dmt for each 1.00% SiO2 above 11.00%, or decreased by US$ 1.50/dmt for each 1.00% SiO2 below 11.00%, fractions pro rata, according to the SiO2 content (%) stated on the “Certificate of Analysis”issued by Seller at the loading port;
FE Spread
=“Fe Spread” means the difference (a) – (b), in percentage points, between (a) the Fe content (%) stated on the “Certificate of Analysis”issued by Seller at the loading port and (b) 62% Fe;
Quotation Period
=“Quotation Period” means a total of 10 days for which the ‘Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily’ is actually published, 5 of which to be those 5 consecutive ones immediately before the day the Notice of Readiness is tendered at Buyer’s nominated first discharging port, and the other 5 to be those 5 consecutive ones immediately after the day the Notice of Readiness is tendered at Buyer’s nominated first discharging port. (The day the Notice of Readiness is tendered is therefore excluded);

=“SiO2折扣”是指14.9/dmt美元基础上11%的SiO2，可增加1.50/dmt美元每1%二氧化硅11%以上，或减少1.50/dmt美元每1%二氧化硅低于11%，分数比例，根据SiO2含量（%）表示，在分析“证书”，由卖方在装货港出具的；
铁扩散
=“有限差分法”是指卖方在装运港和（乙）62%元的“证书分析”中所规定的铁量（%）之间的差额（甲）；
报价周期
=“行情”共10天，“普氏钢铁市场日报”实际上是出版，其中5是5个连续的前一天准备就绪的通知给买方指定第一卸港，和其他5个是5个连续的后立即一天准备就绪的通知给买方指定第一卸港。（准备就绪的通知递交日因此排除）；
